Service Changes
We are sorry to announce that we have lost the contract to provide the following school services:
- 554 – Bedford High School to Tyldesley (pm)
- 931 – Higher Fold to Astley (am and pm)
- 988 – Leigh to Golborne High School & Hope Academy Newton (am)
We have also lost the contract for the following “school days only” service:
- 584 – 07:41 Crankwood to Leigh service
This does not affect our 07:14 (then hourly) service (timetable).
The following service has had a timetable change:
- 990 – Hag Fold to Westleigh High School.
From 3rd September, this service will depart from Spa Road Turning Circle at 0749 (timetable).
Finally, it is with pleasure that we can announce the introduction of a new schools service. From 3rd September, we will be operating a new school route:
- 935 – Bedford High School to Hag Fold (am and pm) (timetable).
Minor changes to 583 – Leigh to Hag Fold Sunday Service
Dear Passengers
583 – Leigh to Hag Fold Sunday Service
With effect from Sunday 11th December Transport for Greater Manchester have made minor route and timetable changes to Jim Stones Sunday and Blue Diamond Monday to Saturday evening services.
In Atherton the bus stops for Hag Fold will be the two in Mealhouse Lane and the bus stop/terminus in Flapper Fold Lane will no longer be served on the 583 service.
The service has also been re-routed to operate via Water Street, Formby Avenue, Car Bank Street, Somerset Road and Warwick Road and then the normal route to Spa Road with a minor timetable change.
Please ask the driver for a new timetable.

Route Change (Service 594)
We have made a slight re-route to our 594 service due to parked cars causing problems in Organ Street and Thomas Street. This will now serve Coupland Road and Swan Lane with effect from 4th April 2016.
